What students are saying about these classes…
Excellent technique for seeing the range of colors. I think you could print the crystallized version of the photo on paper to help when you are making your choices, both what to choose and later to guide your placement of thread.
Hi I just wanted to say hello and thank you! I have never taken an art, sewing, or quilt class. Having beencompletely self-taught has been fun BUT I am thrilled to have found you! Your style, manner, and expertise are perfect for me to learn new skills and enhance others! I am having so much fun learning from you!
Hello Deborah, Your presentation of materials is excellent. Your simple steps both in the video and Module notes have been a tremendous help. I am working on a piece which I am now projecting the image to the wall for creating a collage piece. I will then use thread painting to enhance. I am just getting started so the timing of this course is perfect.
This is one of the best on-line courses I’ve ever taken. The tone is just right, and everything seems to be covered, in an orderly and understandable manner. The downloads are excellent, and the lessons very straight-forward. Thank you, Deborah, for all the effort put in to making this course so very good.
Hello, After purchasing this course today am so excited. I have dabbled in thread painting for a few years and now I am ready to develop my skills further. Thank you for making this course so easy to use
Unbelievable, really magic watching the eye appearing in stitch. Excellent video and explanations.
Thank you for all the lessons which I have thoroughly enjoyed, actually ,I have only used straight stitch when doing free motion, but now after all your detailed lessons I am certainly going to try the zig zag stitch, I am fascinated with your use of it in straight line sewing, especially under the eye; this course has been a revelation for me , the word for it is ‘Magic’ Thank you so much Deborah for all the little details that mean so much.

Thanks for a wonderful clear, and concise course on fabric collage making. Given your great instruction, I finally have the courage to attempt this art form. God knows I have enough fabric in my stash to experiment and let loose.
This is absolutely spell binding. I hope mine turns out even half as good as yours. I did a landscape a while back that is horrid but you make the process much clearer than previous lessons I studied.
I enjoyed this project [Project 3-Ed.]. I found the sketching relaxing when I didn’t have to worry about keeping the stitching right over the previous stitch line. Also, not having to stress about filling the flower in and not missing a spot was a delight. I’m definitely going to add these techniques to my thread painting options. Thank you.
